Ryudai Teaching Fellows Program, University of the Ryukyus, Okinawa, Japan
Responsibilities:
Ryudai Teaching Fellows (formerly known as Medical English Instructors) will teach the “Medical English” course to 5 small groups of 2nd year medical students from April-August 2023, Mondays at 4:30pm - 5:30pm. “Medical English” is a 15-session conversational skills course. As an instructor, you will be responsible for developing the curriculum, lesson plans, formal assessments and grading the final exam. Support will be available from C-Hub and the Faculty members of the Graduate school of Medicine, University of the Ryukyus.
Qualifications:
- Ryudai Teaching Fellow must be enrolled in, or have completed C-Hub’s Teaching &Course Design Certificate Program [*new requirement]
- Ph.D in life-science, biology or other medicine-related fields. M.D. and Pharm.D. are welcome to apply. (postdoc or higher)
- Excellent English-speaking skills
- Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
- Prior teaching experience is preferred
Number of positions: 5 instructors will have 15 sessions of each.
Term & Working hour: From April 24 to August 7, 2023, every Monday, 4:30pm - 5:30pm at Graduate school of Medicine, University of Ryukyus (207 Uehara, Nishihara, Okinawa, JAPAN 903-0215).
Compensation: Compensation in accordance with University of the Ryukyus Employee Compensation Regulations
